Remember Rikshaw Boans? Yes, we’ve begun book #3 of 3, so all of Chekov’s guns from book #1 and #2 will now begin to haunt you. :)

Ah, back in the saddle. Traveling is great, meeting you all is great, but it’s such a good feeling to be catching up again.

Now that Spacetralwer book#2 finally arrived, I’ve been working all week on packaging and shipping them, over half are out already. The PDF is almost done, will have it out shortly! I’m a one man show, so have patience! <3

Oh, and if you want to order one? Book #2 should be available at the TopatoCo store in the next week or two!

Also, while in Toronto, I hung out with Don (of Road Apples Almanac) and Brian, and one night for a writing/drawing/goofing-off exercise/game/diversion we drew three comics, each writing and drawing one panel of each. Don posted them over on his site (below the comic in the blog).

And also also also Jason Clarke did an awesome re-draw of the book #2 cover. Drew Struzan eat your heart out! You can also find this picture along with other guest art pieces on the Spacetrawler “fan art” page.

Phew. Arrived home today and am totally and utterly beat. Up at 4 which is 1 here. Travel days can be so long sometimes.

But I look forward to getting back on top of things. Books in the mail hopefully all this week, and the full comic back in full-color glory on Monday.

TCAF was the bomb. What a good time. I think my favorite part was that it was in a library and free. So it just felt very open and friendly.

And the time in Toronto, I was entertained and shown around and taken care of by Brian and Don (of the lovely comic Road Apples Almanac). Good company.

So…. I was hoping the spacetrawler book #2 would arrive in early-mid april, but they arrived right as I hit these two comic conventions, and so it’s been a bit of a cluter-f*@$   keeping on top of it all.

And so with all that, I didn’t have enough time between Stumptown and TCAF to draw Monday’s and Wednesday’s strips. So I am posting abbreviated versions for now.

In Seattle this weekend? I’ll be at the Emerald City Comic Con, tabling at the TopatoCo Island. I WON’T have anything new, I’m afraid. Book 2 is still at the printer. But I’ll have book #1 and the Little Dee books.

All is well. The postcards were printed and arrived and look really good. The proofs for both Spacetrawler and the Little Dee reprints are hurtling towards me as we speak. Dan and I met to plan to take over the world, still some logistics to work out. No racquetball (Kim was sick). So, overall, just plugging away.

Don’t forget the Kickstarter for Book #2 campaign.

This strip makes me sad. I may laugh callously when I write death, but it also makes me sad. Ah, how mixed emotions can be.

Well, good. Now you know what our jolly crew is up against in book 3. And the characters who were doomed? They needed closure. Will I forget that aside from at-times-intense story that this is ALSO A COMEDY? — NO. Never.

It’s my brithday on Saturday. Whoot! Happy me. I’ll eat cake. And eat it too.

Tom Walker barely needs my links these days, but blackmail is blackmail, so I have to pony up. He posted a new (NSFW) SS MYRA yesterday. Delight in it.

You can’t see much of the Mihrrgoot ship in today’s strip, but you will see more of it. And I’m pretty pleased with how it came out.

If you want to make wild mass guesses on the plot of Spacetrawler, someone posted a theory over on TVTropes.

There’s a video up of a panel I did with Tony DiGerolama(of Superfrat and a writer for the Simpsons) at InterventionCon in the DC area in the autumn of last year. The panel goes a bit smoother after about 5 minutes when I realized what panel I was on (“Getting Paid To Do What You Already Love”).

The jerk we all know and love, just not in “that” way, Tom Walker got a nice mention over at 1o9 of “Eight Sexy Webcomics” for his (NSFW) SS Myra.

Oh, and I have a comic in the current MAD Magazine. Check it out at your local library or newsstand!

Happy Day After Valentines Day! (umm)

Bit of a cliffhanger today, sorry to make you all wait ’til next week! :)

As you may know, I have reached my goal, but you can still place pre-orders or support my work (you can have your name or face in the actual comic even!) there until the 27th! Remember Yuri’s remote control. (Also here)

Well, I was planning on making Yuri blue, mixing Flineous (she she recently killed) and Kali the Hindu goddess of power. I was even going to post a venn diagram of Kali, Flineous, and a housecat with Yuri being where they all overlap. BUT, I couldn’t make it work without her looking like Neytiri the blue Pandorian from the movie “Avatar” (or Zhaan from “Farscape” if you’d rather). After much fussing and fidgeting and playing with various hues I decided on her new color scheme. Not what I had planned, but I am very pleased with it nonetheless.

Oh, and Dustin is back. You’d be amazed how many times I count the humans in each strip as I draw them (I know there’s SIX! SIX humas!) and then make sure I know where each character is. So easy to forget.

Let’s see… a few links. Tom Walker posted a new SS Myra, of course. And I received the amazing collection of Dicebox in the mail this week (with my own short comic of the charcaters in it), and am champing the bit to read it. Erika Moen and Jeff Parker finished their 102 page webcomic “Bucko” which is a very fun read (and they’re having a store sale to celebrate).
