So. There you go. The big bad secret about spacetrawlers. The shadow behind the title.

And by coincidence this is the 200th page (if you count the double lead-in strip as two separate pages, don’t include the awesome guest strip by Alan Ryan of Faraday The Blob, but do include the auto-bio intro strip and the book review strip I did over at Unshelved… it’s all such fuzzy math). So, yeah. Wow. I try not to think about it because it makes my head melt, but, um, yay.

Let’s see. Oh, Holiday cards are now available — and they’re awesome. Order them now so you have time to send them (along with some books, totes, and tees for gifts to go with the cards).

Also, Tom Walker told me that not only is the new weekly SS Myra (NSFW) up over at badmile.com, but he’s got the wordpress going and even has the RSS up. I am not posting this because he’s blackmailing me, as I have done nothing wrong.

11/14/11 The Glossed-Over Version

It was a nice week, although difficult to keep up on work. My sister (and her dog) just moved from Alaska to California, and stopped overnight on her way through. We were delighted (perhaps our cats less-so). I painted a little. Worked on some freelance stuff. Drew a couple pieces for an art show. We even went to a birthday party. Never a dull moment.

Sad to hear the Russian Mars probe went offline. That’s totally gotta’ suck. But don’t worry, just watch this and enjoy a relaxing bliss instead…

09/26/11 The Potty-Bot’s Friends

I have to start in on con reports, although 4 in a row kinda is daunting. And so… not today.

But huge. HUGE! I mean, they are asking other labs to double-check first, but the finding: neutrinos can travel faster than light. Amazing. Even breathtaking. I mean, it’s no greased dark light speed, but what is?

Of course, I’ve read some articles saying that it shows we can travel back in time, and I’m just not yet buying that. I mean, already we’ve found that on the atomic level things don’t confirm to normal physics in other ways. but whatever, who knows. It’s still frikkin’ amazing.

09/05/11 Martina’s Passage Granted

This weekend, Sep 10-11, I will be in Bethesda at the
SPX Small Press Expo!
Come on by and say hello.

For me, it’s been insane here getting ready for this month long trip (East coast and San Fran conventions). The strip is drawn on large paper and hard to transport (let alone the scanner) so I can’t bring much with me except for computer work (which is mostly just coloring), but I think I’m going to manage it with zero interruptions of the strip. yay!

08/09/11 Base at Brograhm’s Teeth

07/20/11 An Enemy Aboard

I withdrew the Purfin T-shirt. After 24 hours there were still zero sales, and that was too slow a start. I’m trying very hard to provide merch, but I also need to meet some minimum order numbers to even break even. My current rule on tees are I need at least 20 orders to do a print run, and if I get zero orders in the first day, I pull it. That said, a couple people asked me to re-tool the design, and I’m playing with it. Nothing satisfactory yet.

06/06/11 Yuri And The Force

So, you may notice I have a new banner up there (below the strip/above the blog). Here are the bullet points.

You can now buy a POSTER of ANY strip in the archive. They are all set up and ready to go. Email me if any of the links are wrong or broken and I will fix them.
For those wanting a HIGH QUALITY SIGNED PRINT which will last a lifetime, MAKE SURE when ordering one that you indicate over at Paypal which one you’ve ordered, or else I’ll have to email you and squeeze the info out of you. These strips will usually take up to a week between when you order them and when I get them in the mail due to the fact that I have to get them printed, pick them up, sign them, and ship them.
If you wish to buy the original artwork for the strips, two things: ONE, a while ago I lowered the price to encourage purchasing, but this didn’t work and I kept getting emails requesting prints: so they’d be in color, be frameable, and be more affordable. Now that this is an option, I will be raising the price of originals (in a couple weeks) up to $100. So, if you wanted one at $80, now is your chance. TWO, you may notice that I haven’t been posting the originals for sale, this is basically because I stopped hand-lettering them. So, if you wish any recent originals which have not been posted for sale, email me, and if it’s available, I’ll sell it to you and letter it for $100.

This weekend I’ll be down in Portland for the Stumptown Comic Fest, tabling with my great friend Kevin (who has a zine out of his comic Wanderlost. Yay!)
